What have you found works the best for your event as the LED video wall?

my view is that today, without a LED video wall, an event with 100+ attendees can't be seen as professional > a projector and a screen look so "last century", where an LED video wall allows to show presentations in a large scale, with vibrant colours and modern looks. .. of course, I have seen many great events with professional projectors (fit on ceilings), though, most probably, an led video wall would look the event to look even better looking!

my moment of shame: August 2023

I still remember the look of a CEO of a publicly traded company (and my shame) who came to the stage, looked with a sad realisation on the 100' projector screen and the projector and then his eyes met mine.. I learnt my lesson then: no more unprofessional projectors!!

prior to that, bought this screen and this projector on Amazon:

this was my main setup (apart from audio that I rented on FatLama)

the stuff came in fine, projector tests looked fine, also did the 100' screen that I tested during a weekend in the lobby of the office building where I have my office:

what could go wrong? :)

.. the ball room was much larger that the lobby of my office building + the colours were quite pale = not the best photos

Yes, that event was great for attendees as most got great business out of it, and the Hilton ball room + food were magnificant.. though an important lesson was learnt.

yes, I understand that I didn't have funds that year for the LED wall, and this is a process of learning :) .. still a painful episode.

next year (last year - 2024), it was a different story:

and the same CEO showed me "thumbs up" the first moment he saw the video wall, and had a blast of a presentation that everyone enjoyed (even people at the far side of the presentation room who were standing by the walls as there were no free chairs during this particular keynote):

My advice to every starting-up event organizer >> LED video wall is a must have!!

Also, which "P" (pixel pitch) LED walls do you prefer? What are the best for photos and video footage?

I noticed that white letters on as dark background as possible looks better on video (flickering doesn't show up).

Also, is there a difference on power consumption of these?

would love to hear more experience

What is your experience on setting up stages for speakers? .. not backdrops > just experience with the stage base itself..
