It is an absolute honour to announce this, that finally the EventExpertForum.com is now fully live!!!

The EEF forum has been created as, strangely enough, there wasn’t a single proper online forum for event professionals. At least, I haven't been able to find one.

Yes, there are LinkedIn and Facebook groups, most probably, some private Slack, X or Discord spaces - but nothing open, organized, and easy to search. Nothing that truly felt like a home for event pros. So, I built one.

I’ve been in the events, hosting and domain space for years. Along the way, I’ve organized 20+ smaller business events for the Latvian Chamber of Commerce for the UK (where I was a co-founder and former Director), and I’ve also hosted networking meetups for the Latvian online business community both in Latvia and the UK.

Over the years, I’ve seen how powerful business forums - and how useful it is to have a space where people from 1 particular niche can have business conversations and exchage of experiences online. That’s what this forum is all about.

The forum runs on XenForo, which is one of the most trusted and well-built forum engines available (for me personally, this is the #1 forum engine out there). It’s fast, stable, mobile-friendly, and made to grow with the community. If we’re going to create a proper home for event professionals, I believe we need to use the best possible tools - and XenForo is just that. No workarounds, no clunky software - just clean, powerful forum tech that works.

There are two color schemes - light and dark. The light theme is the default, because in the events industry, we work with a lot of people who are dyslexic. Many of them thrive in people-focused environments that value emotional intelligence. A light background with simple text just makes reading and participation easier - and that matters.

The EEF forum itself is structured into 3 main sections, each with 4 categories. This isn’t random, and here is why:
  • It is done on purpose to keep things focused and easy to navigate.
  • Too many sections can overwhelm people.
  • Too few, and everything gets lost.
  • Three sections give us balance, and four categories in each makes it easy to scan and decide where to go next.
  • Simple, clean, and efficient.

The categories were shaped with the help of ChatGPT + Grok :) - and refined with real-world use in mind. If something doesn’t work, we’ll improve it together.

If you work in events - or want to - you’re very welcome.

It’s early days, but we’re open.

Let us build Epic Events!!

p.s. I will ask our @Admin (Prashanna) also to make a short intro, so you know the guy who will look after the technical part of the forum when there is a need for that :)
