Thinking about investing into 2 modular stages (my venue doesn't seem to have these).. Your experience?

What is your experience on setting up stages for speakers? .. not backdrops > just experience with the stage base itself..

last year I was saved by the Hilton London Metropole and Encore teams, that did find the skirting for their modular stage + put up a cover carpet. Thank you, Hilton and Encore!!

though, it looks small from side photos - no speakers complained about it :) .. and noone noticed the white tape on its corners neither:

the size of the stage you see above was around 1.5m x 6m (if my memory serves me right)

this year I will probably need to buy 2 modular stages myself (the venue doesn't seem to be able to offer these to me). This also raises a question: are these really crucial to an event? .. I tend to think - yes.

what do you think about solutions like these?

while looking up used modular stages on ebay, found a good offer on SICO 2000 mobile folding stage panels (each £260).. and the size seems to be 1220 x 2440mm (when checking other resources):
